Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

BK Benefits Consultants is a Missouri-licensed insurance entity producer (License #3004163368 · NPN 21307422). It is a marketing brand. We operate the Site to connect you with a licensed insurance producer. When you submit an inquiry, that inquiry is worked by an individually licensed insurance producer who is appointed with carriers through their contracted agency — coverage applications, recommendations and policy placement are handled by that producer, not by this Site. Our principal producer is appointed with carriers through Compass Health Consultants. If your inquiry falls outside our principal producer’s licensing, expertise, or available capacity, we may instead direct your inquiry to another licensed insurance producer who we have verified is licensed in your state for the product you have requested.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you complete a contact form on the Site, we collect the information you submit, which may include your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, coverage interest, household information, and any notes or questions you choose to share.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect technical information about your visit, including IP address, device and browser type, referring page, pages viewed, marketing campaign attribution (UTM parameters), and time-stamps. We use cookies and similar technologies (described in Section 6) to support these functions.

Information we receive in connection with your inquiry

When you request a quote through the Site, the licensed insurance producer assigned to your inquiry may receive underwriting and eligibility information from insurance carriers in response, and may share that information with us as part of the response to you.

What we do not collect

We collect contact information about you only when you submit it on this Site. We do not purchase, rent, or otherwise receive your contact information from third-party marketing partners, lead generators, lead aggregators, or list brokers. If we hold your name, email address, or phone number, it is because you entered it into the form on this Site yourself.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• respond to your inquiry and direct it to a licensed insurance producer who can develop and present coverage options to you (as described in Section 1);
• contact you and market our own products and services to you across the channels you have consented to — including by phone, text message, email, and postal mail — about insurance products, quotes, renewals, educational content, and other communications we believe may be of interest to you, even if you do not become a customer;
• operate, maintain, secure, analyze, and improve the Site and our marketing;
• measure the effectiveness of our advertising;
• comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only as described below.

Insurance carriers

When you ask for a quote or request that an application be submitted, we provide your information to the relevant insurance carrier(s) to develop quotes and process the application.

Licensed insurance producers — including transfers we may be paid for

We share your contact information with one licensed insurance producer to assist with your inquiry. By default that producer is our principal licensed producer. If your inquiry falls outside our principal producer’s licensed states, product expertise, or available capacity, we may instead transfer your inquiry to another licensed insurance producer or agency, whom we have verified holds a current producer license in your state for the product you requested. The receiving producer may contact you directly by phone, text message, and email, and may market its own insurance products and services to you.

Your inquiry goes to one producer at a time. If that producer does not contact you promptly, or does not keep following up, we may end that transfer and send your inquiry to a different producer or agency on our Agent List — again, one at a time. The producer whose transfer has ended may no longer contact you. We may be paid a fee for each transfer, whether or not you buy anything, and no producer who receives your inquiry may pass it on to anyone else.

We may be paid for that transfer. Under some state privacy laws, transferring your information to another company in exchange for payment is a “sale” or “share” of your personal information, and we describe it that way here so there is no ambiguity. We are paid whether or not you buy anything.

Any producer who may receive your inquiry is named in advance on our Agent List. We record which version of that roster was in effect when you submitted your request; a producer added to the roster afterwards was not named in your authorization and will not receive your information.

You authorize this transfer on the contact form, by a separate checkbox that is not pre-checked, and the form tells you before you check it exactly what is transferred, who may receive it, that we may be paid, and what the recipient may and may not do with it. You can withdraw that authorization at any time through Your Privacy Choices, by emailing team@bkbenefits.co, or by any other reasonable means — you never have to use a particular channel, and we will not treat you differently for withdrawing. A withdrawal applies to information we have already collected as well as to anything you submit later, and we check it again before any transfer rather than only at the time you first contacted us.

Withdrawing stops the transfer — including a transfer to one of our own licensed producers, who is named on the roster on the same terms as anyone else. It does not erase what you have already sent us: BK Benefits Consultants still holds that information and may still contact you about insurance products and services. Producers who receive your inquiry are required to use it only to offer you the insurance you asked about, to maintain their own do-not-call list, to honor a request to stop within ten (10) business days, and not to resell or re-transfer your information.

Service providers

We share information with vendors that perform services on our behalf, such as web hosting, analytics, CRM, email and SMS delivery, and advertising measurement. These vendors are bound by confidentiality and data-use obligations and may use your information only as needed to provide their services to us.

Legal and business transfers

We may disclose information when required by law, in response to valid legal process, to protect our rights, to investigate fraud or violations of our terms, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.

Sponsored content in our emails

From time to time we may include sponsored content from an advertiser inside marketing emails that we send, and we may be paid for it. In those cases, BK Benefits Consultants always sends the message and controls what it says. The advertiser never receives our contact list, any part of it, or any information identifying you individually — not your address, not whether you opened the message, not whether you clicked. Advertisers receive only aggregate totals. Sponsored content is identified as advertising.

What we do not do

We do not hand our marketing contact list, or any segment of it, to a third party for that party to use directly. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16. We do not use the information you give us to build advertising audiences, and we do not provide it to advertising platforms for that purpose. We do not analyze what you tell us to infer anything about your health, and we do not score, segment, or route your inquiry based on any guess about your health status.

5. Your Choices

• Email. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out of marketing email at any time.
• SMS. Reply STOP to any text message from us to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
• Phone. You can ask us to add you to our internal Do Not Call list by emailing team@bkbenefits.co.
• Withdrawing consent. You can withdraw consent for further contact at any time by contacting us using the information in Section 11.
• Cookies. Use the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer to manage analytics and advertising cookies on this Site. Most browsers also let you block, delete, or get notified about cookies entirely. See Section 6 for full detail.

6. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: (a) to make the Site work and remember choices you’ve made (including your cookie preferences), (b) to understand how visitors find and use the Site, and (c) to measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

Categories we use

• Strictly necessary. Required for the Site to function — for example, the bk_consent cookie that remembers your cookie choices. Always active; cannot be turned off.
• Analytics. Google Analytics 4. Helps us understand how visitors find and use the Site so we can improve content and the contact-form flow. Sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_*.
• Advertising measurement. Google Ads conversion measurement using the same Google Analytics 4 tag. Lets us measure whether our ads lead to inquiries and which marketing channels send qualified visitors. We do not currently run a separate Google Ads pixel. Ads personalization is disabled for this Site: we do not build remarketing lists or personalized-advertising audiences from your visits, and no visit to this Site is used to target you with personalized ads elsewhere. That is a deliberate policy choice for a website about health and life coverage, not a technical limitation. Sets cookies such as _gcl_*.
• Web fonts. The Site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. This sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, but requesting a font from Google discloses your IP address and basic browser information to Google, as any request to any third-party server does. It happens on every page and is not covered by your cookie choices, because it is how the page is drawn rather than a tracking technology.
• Cookieless analytics. Ahrefs Web Analytics. A privacy-friendly analytics tool that measures page views and traffic sources without setting cookies or collecting personal identifiers. Because it does not store data on your device or use cross-site tracking, it loads on every visit regardless of your cookie choices.

How we ask for your consent

When you first visit the Site, we show every visitor the same cookie notice: a strip at the bottom of the page telling you the Site uses cookies for analytics and advertising measurement, with a “Cookie settings” button and an “OK” button. It does not block the page, and pressing OK dismisses it without granting anything — it records that you have seen the notice and leaves your cookie state exactly as it already was. To change that state, use “Cookie settings,” or the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer of every page.

What that state is depends on where you are visiting from, and it is applied by Google’s own regional matching rather than by anything we detect:

• Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland, Brazil, or Quebec. Analytics and advertising-measurement storage are denied by default and stay denied unless you turn them on yourself in Cookie settings. Only strictly necessary cookies are active in the meantime, and dismissing the notice does not change that.
• Visitors elsewhere, including the United States. Analytics and advertising-measurement cookies are active by default under a notice model. You can turn them off at any time in Cookie settings; strictly necessary cookies remain on either way.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of advertising cookies regardless of your location. Analytics cookies remain active in that case unless you also turn them off via “Your Privacy Choices”.

How to change your cookie choices

Use the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer of any page on the Site — it takes you to our Your Privacy Choices page, where you can change your cookie decision and also withdraw your authorization to share your inquiry with a licensed producer. The “Cookie settings” button on the cookie notice opens the same cookie preferences panel directly. You can also delete the bk_consent cookie through your browser’s privacy settings, in which case we will ask you again on your next visit. Most browsers also let you block or delete all cookies entirely.

Audit record

When you make a cookie choice, we record the choice itself, the time, the IP address and browser the choice came from, the version of this Privacy Policy and the cookie notice that was current at the time, and the verbatim notice copy you saw. We keep this record so we can demonstrate compliance with applicable privacy laws.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as we have an ongoing legitimate business need, including responding to your inquiry, marketing our products and services to you over time (whether or not you become a customer), complying with legal and regulatory obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. We typically retain inquiry-form contact information for seven (7) years from your last meaningful contact with us, after which we delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your information sooner by contacting us; we will honor that request to the extent we are not required to retain the information by applicable law.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. State-Specific Rights

Residents of states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws may have additional rights with respect to their personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete the information we hold and to opt out of certain types of processing. To exercise these rights, email team@bkbenefits.co. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

11. Updates & Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through additional means where required by law.
